Paraphrasing the Literature

Paraphrasing is important because it shows you understand the source well enough to write it in your own words. It also gives you a powerful alternative to using direct quotes, which should be used infrequently in a research study. This workshop offers strategies to evaluate sources and integrate them into your writing using your own words. We will discuss practical tips and resources to develop your voice in your writing while practicing your skills in paraphrasing and referencing techniques. This workshop is for research candidates particularly who are working on their literature review or discussion chapter, but other staff and students are welcome.  27/04/23, 90 mins, 1030-1200 AEST.  Presenter:  Tabitha Merrell.
