Attracting Funding

Attracting funding is an important step towards developing and advancing a successful research program. Research funding success is also a key performance indicator for University researchers. But where do you start, and how do you put together a competitive funding application? In this workshop, aimed at honing grant-readiness and confidence, participants will:  Reflect on the importance of planning for and writing funding proposals; Develop their own strategic funding strategy, considering the idea, team and funding target; Identify aspects of good funding applications as well as common pitfalls to avoid; Learn effective funding application planning and writing strategies; Consider potential application outcomes and next steps (including fostering resilience). 20/06/23, 2hrs, 1000-1200 AEST.  Presenter - Kylie Ball, Indago Academy.
