Many areas of academic life such as finding employment and winning research grants depend on establishing a publication record. However, writing research papers does not come naturally to most of us. This workshop has been designed to assist you in the process of writing an article. In this workshop, learn how to get the ball rolling including choosing the right journal, what to consider when targeting a relevant journal for publication, how to structure your paper, and how to write effectively to best communicate your argument. We will draw on sample articles from relevant fields to demonstrate journal article writing principles and discuss strategies for dealing with feedback and reviewing your paper. 30/05/23. 2 hours, 1300-1500 AEST. Presenters: Tabitha Merrell and Holly Randell-Moon.
